CIB Foundation and Egyptian Clothing Bank Collaborate to Support underprivileged Children under the "For Egypt" Initiative.

Continuing the fruitful collaboration between the Egyptian Clothing Bank and the Commercial International Bank (CIB) Foundation in supporting children from the most vulnerable families across various Egyptian governorates, a new cooperation protocol has been signed. This partnership aligns with CIB’s corporate vision and commitment to social responsibility and is part of the CIB Foundation's "For Egypt" initiative, which aims to build a healthy generation for Egypt's future.

The CIB Foundation has been a long-standing partner and official sponsor of the Egyptian Clothing Bank for 12 consecutive years. Together, the two organizations have successfully provided winter clothing to around 600,000 children. The warm and health-conscious clothing helps protect these children from respiratory diseases and other ailments caused by cold weather, ensuring a warmer and healthier winter for those most in need.

As part of their ongoing cooperation, the CIB Foundation has continued its support this year for the Egyptian Clothing Bank and has reaffirmed its commitment to the "Warm Winter" project. Launched in 2012, this initiative has had a significant positive impact on the lives of the children it supports, as shown through scientific impact assessments.

The CIB Foundation has allocated a donation of EGP 23 million to the Egyptian Clothing Bank to provide heavy, cotton, and health-conscious winter kits to 120,000 children from underprivileged backgrounds. These children attend public and community schools in remote and underserved areas in the governorates of Qena, Beheira, and Beni Suef.

Starting in December and continuing through February, the Egyptian Clothing Bank team, in collaboration with the CIB Foundation team, organized convoys to distribute winter training suits to 39,852 children in Beheira, 37,193 children in Beni Suef, and 48,955 children in Qena. In total, 126,000 children benefited from this initiative.

In support of local Egyptian products, the Egyptian Clothing Bank manufactured all the high-quality winter kits in its small workshops across various Egyptian governorates. This initiative not only promotes local products but also empowers Egyptian women economically by creating job opportunities for them.

Engineer Sherif El Saeed, Director of the CIB Foundation, expressed his pride in the long-standing partnership with the Egyptian Clothing Bank, which has resulted in serving and supporting hundreds of thousands of children in need across Egypt. Many of these children have now grown into responsible young adults, contributing positively to society and the Egyptian economy.

He added that the CIB Foundation is always keen to support children in areas such as health, education, clothing, and nutrition, as they represent the true future of Egypt's society and economy. The foundation looks forward to further collaboration with various charitable organizations, continuing to offer support in all forms to serve and care for the most underprivileged children across all governorates.

Dr. Moez Shahdi, Chairman of the Egyptian Clothing Bank, expressed his deep gratitude for the partnership, saying:

"I would like to express my sincere thanks and great happiness for the wonderful cooperation and strong partnership with the CIB Foundation in the 'Warm Winter' campaign. This fruitful and unique experience has once again proven that joint efforts in serving the community can create real and positive change in the lives of others."

He continued: "Our collaboration in providing health-conscious winter clothing for children in need reflects the spirit of giving and solidarity that defines our institution. It is an opportunity for us to offer warmth and protection to children who suffer during the cold winter. Thanks to our joint efforts, we have been able to provide comfort and warmth to those who need it most, which could only be achieved through strong partnerships."

He concluded: "We are proud to partner with the CIB Foundation and cherish the opportunity to work together in serving the community. Our cooperation reflects a shared vision of sustainable development, and we are committed to continuing our joint efforts to create more positive change within our Egyptian society. We hope this partnership will continue, helping to improve the health, school attendance, and engagement of beneficiary children, thereby enhancing their quality of life."
