In collaboration with the Ahly united bank and Daira , The Egyptian clothing bank launches initiative to empower young designers

The Egyptian Clothing Bank, in collaboration with the Ahli United Bank and Dayra , has launched an exciting initiative under the umbrella of the “Mn Qomash" project. This initiative aims to train 50 young women in the art of creating recycled products. The first phase of this initiative commenced in February 2024 and  concluded in September 2024.

The training workshops are being held at Nuqoush Foundation for Training and Arts, providing a creative space for participants to learn and innovate. The primary objective of this initiative is to nurture designers in the fields of recycling and sustainable fashion. By equipping these young women with essential skills, the Egyptian Clothing Bank aims to inspire a new generation of sustainable design professionals.

To ensure the success of this initiative, the Egyptian Clothing Bank is committed to supplying the necessary materials to the participants. This support allows aspiring designers to explore their creativity and innovate within the realm of recycling. By providing access to quality resources, the initiative fosters an environment where creativity can flourish.

This initiative not only aims to empower young women but also emphasizes the importance of sustainability in fashion. By focusing on recycling, it encourages participants to consider the environmental impact of their work and to think critically about waste in the fashion industry. The skills and knowledge gained through this program will enable them to contribute positively to a more sustainable future.
